Health Care Without Walls is a non-profit dedicated to providing free, compassionate medical care, education, and advocacy to homeless women and children in greater Boston.

Who We Are

Our core services revolve around wellness care to meet the health care needs of women who have fallen through the safety net of social services. The HCWW model is a unique approach to health care access for vulnerable women providing “adjunct” care to close gaps in continuity for women whose focus on survival needs often supplants their ability to maintain continuous contact with their PCPs. Core staff provide diagnostics, referrals, and health education, helping clients stay on top of medical and mental health conditions. By closing those gaps, HCWW improves chronic disease monitoring and contributes to improved health and health literacy.
